Working House Fire

Friday, January 24, 2020

On January 18, 2020 at approximately 20:20 hours, Station 41 was alerted for a residential structure fire. Upon command responding to the scene, dispatch recieved update information of a bedroom on fire with the possibility of subjects trapped. With recieving this information Command requested the upgrade to a working alarm, bringing addtional companies to the scene. Once on scene it was determined the two occupants were trapped, one being inside the home and one on the roof at the rear of the home. Both occupants were removed safely from the home and transported to the local emergency department was addtional evaluation. Crews operated for approximately 2 hours before turning the scene over to the State Fire Marshal's Office. Units on scene: E41-3, Tower 41, Tanker 41, L46-1, E46-5, Tanker 51, E51-2, A-51, C41, A63, Kent County Paramedics.
