At 11:03 hours the CWFC was alerted for a house fire. Shortly after dispatch the call was upgraded to a working alarm. Engine 41-3 arrived to find a single family dwelling with a fire on the exterior of the delta side. The bulk of the fire was knocked down by bystanders. The crew from Engine 3 deployed a single hand line to extinguish the remainder of the fire. Units arriving after Engine 3 were tasked with ventilation and checking for extension inside the structure. Due to the significance of the extension Station 55 (Magnolia) was alerted to assist with overhaul. Camden units spent about 50 minutes on scene. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire. Two adults and two children were displaced and are receiving assistance from the Red Cross. -RA
